"Anyone for philosophy free of politics and religion?" Ah, the tough questions first, eh? Difficult, because in tackling the broad philosophical questions religion is going to offer a candidate answer, as personal faith, even leaving aside organised ones giving cohesion to (or fracturing) communitie...

"I guess I just meant compatable personalities and energies " Yes, that too. I can do it if I work at it, but that's a "performance" and exactly not what's being aimed for. <Let's work at being relaxed> is not quite nonsensical, but it's not ideal either. Just occasionally, at odd times, I click wit...

I don't just mean Monopoly and chess. I mean all games. Examples: -Courtship and dating are games -Workplace competition is a game... --And on and on... I am wondering whether our problem is with the games condition itself. Would you prefer a world without games? Good questions. I keep a collection...

Don't fight anything - not because it's Christmas but because like the Tar Baby or GW in Iraq (Which is where he should be this Christmas), you'll find yourself sinking deeper into the quagmire Bad news: My last traces of enthusiasm have evaporated. Thank you. I'm quoting from a rather longer personal ad I composed when three(female) colleagues at work insisted I should be making more effort to get matched up. (49 and single) I appear to be slowly making progress in educating them that "my ways are not as your ways", even to the point where goo...

*I reallydon't like these things... it hurts just thinking about them. You have my sympathy. I've got my firm's'Christmas dinner on Friday, and am attending on the calculation that not doing so would cause more grief than the reverse. Making it fun is beyond my expertise. While I have had to learn some of the conventions of social interaction including body language, considerate NT's, at work at least, have come to appreciate or understand something of mine. One example: if I'm really listening to what you are saying, ...
