I always have a beginning, middle, and end in mind before I start, but I also like to leave wiggle room for things to develop naturally along the way. Sometimes characters and events present themselves as I'm writing, and those can often become the best parts of the story.

"My kid likes to read and play on the computer during Christmas break. Also, sometimes she gets bored. Please help!"

Sounds like a normal kid. Doesn't even sound like an autism issue. Doesn't sound like an issue at all.

My guess is that you aren't giving her what she wants in the bedroom, and she's too shy or embarrassed to tell you what you're doing wrong. Also, your original post doesn't mention any desire whatsoever to please this woman - it's all about YOU and your needs. You seriously expect her to be "en...

^Yes. If the job can't or won't make accommodations, then why was it even offered to her? If she was able to do these types of social interactions just because someone told her to do them, then she would have learned years ago and she wouldn't have autism. Does the company think no one ever suggeste...

It sounds like this job is a poor fit for your daughter. Aspies are, in general, unable to hold down jobs for which the primary skills required are smiling and being pleasant - receptionist, retail, fast food, etc. Rather, we need to know how to do something the average person can't - fix a car, des...

There probably should be specific Trigger warnings for this section and Love and Dating

Though I suspect you're joking, some of the misogynistic content in Love and Dating actually can be triggering to people who've experienced sexual assault, sexual abuse, or domestic violence.

"Trigger Warnings" is a legitimate, useful concept that has been so badly abused This. Trigger warnings were designed to give people with PTSD a heads-up that the material presented might trigger a flashback, a panic attack, or other severe reaction. They are intended for media depicting ...

Usually one boy, one girl, one baby. Allows for a greater variety of story lines. I've always questioned why so many shows, particularly sit-coms, feature an overweight, not-very-bright, lazy man married to a thin, smart, go-getter woman. It gives some men the idea that they're entitled to a spouse ...

I was pretty surprised when I first heard the Trumps don't employ a nanny. If they're trying to hide their son's autism, though, it makes much more sense.

One thing that comes to my mind right now is that women are subconsciously influenced by smell in their partner choice (no not the obvious if someone stinks you won't have sex with him kind of smell). Some part of people's smell correlates with their MHC-complex (important for the immune system) an...

Twice now I've I watched as a parent has handed out invites to every single kid except mine. This is unacceptable, and you should speak to the school about it. If the parents are going to exclude any child, then they've no business handing out these invites at school. Let them send them in the mail...

• NEVER give personal info out to them, DO NOT add them to Facebook or any other social media, think of it like giving your personal info out to murderers. Just don't do it. They collect bits of info they can use against you at a later time. This is good advice. However, this woman will wait until ...

The short answer is that Aspie1 has no evidence for anything he's saying. He said so himself a couple posts back.
