Assuming all other factors are normal/good, then sure why not? What happened there has nothing to do with anything. It's just superstition to think otherwise. Why, an animal(s) or even a person was likely murdered some time in the past on the very spot you're standing right now. What building/landsc...

If it was in fact the police, they would have come to your door and presented identification before they asked for your or anyone elses personal information. Sounds more likely it was some guy making up a story to get her number, a creditor, or phishing for some sort of ID theft. Besides, the polic...

I bring up my ex a lot in conversations because what happened with him was a very emotionally damaging situation and I still have a lot of scars and shadows. I discuss these things with my husband because it is relevant to the way I may react to a certain situation. I realize this is not considered ...

^ I agree with that and I don't see any reason to attempt to classify people. I just also see B9's perspective as well and agree somewhat with his observation, although the conclusion may or may not be incorrect.

If it was infact the police, they would not tell you what they wanted her for. They have confidentiality rules as well. "We need to ask her some questions" is the standard police line.

Well I would think the question should be more aptly put as "Do you feel glad that you're normal?" Like, for example, many people spend their entire lives trying to be "accepted" and "blend in" rather than stand out. I would take that to indicate that they "take pride in" or prefer to be normal, ave...

And for the record, OP I don't think B9 intended to (or did in reality) flame anyone. I completely understand his point. There is a large amount of trival/small talk to be found on this forum that autistics are supposedly not into. *shrug* I don't think it was intended as an attack but rather an obs...

They consider it like eavesdropping. Listening to a conversation of which you are not part of. The implication is that it's sneaky and you have ulterior motives other than conversing. I do no thave an issue with lurkers. I have an issue with people who irl insert themselves into my conversation with...

Quite true. It might sound shallow to say I wouldn't bother trying to have a relationship who wasn't into the same things I was sexually, but it's actually simply going to save a lot of trouble/headache down the road. Definately agree with this because I've done it and it did not work out. For so m...

Well I wouldn't exactly say I begrudge people the right to look. As I mentioned earlier, I often point out attractive females for my male companions to inspect. I guess I kind of went off on a tangent about looking for a mate. I do dislike the shallowness in general but a few glances never hurt anyo...

It's interesting for me to ponder... I think a few months ago I may have appeared on perhaps a few people's lists. I am of mixed feelings now as to not doing so. It was an interesting feeling, being popular here. But way too bizarre. I think I probably prefer to be unnoticed.
