I'm seeing Blade Runner 2049 later today! Glad you liked it! :)

{Also, the director of Blade Runner 2049 is in pre-production of a remake of Dune which is in development at Universal Pictures and may direct a remake of Cleopatra for Sony.}

Wish Upon.

A high school nerd, traumatized by her mothers suicide, gets a Chinese music box from her dumpster diver father - and finds that it can grant wishes. She gets gruesome revenge on the mean girl who had tormented her in school, and gets money and popularity. Only later does she learn that with each granted wish, someone she is close to dies. Then she learns her own mother's connection to the music box that had led to her suicide.
For the most part, a decent horror flick.

Nice! We're certainly overdue for a new shot at getting Dune right, so I look forward to that.

Despite some predictable plot points, Blade Runner 2049 was a brilliant movie nonetheless! :)
