Whatever gets my interest. The film festivals are often a factor in my viewing pleasures.

For me, the Oscar nominations are a factor in what movies I'm interested in seeing, especially the short films since one thing about southern California is that there are theaters that show those nominated films. I'll also see films I haven't seen where people were nominated in the acting categories. I'm a bit of a film buff, so sometimes, I like seeing films that aren't going to be setting records at the box office.

Other movies I'm looking forward to are:

Guardians of the Galaxy Volume 2
Wonder Woman
Kong: Skull Island

Not familiar enough with the original films to be looking forward to them.

As far as sequels/franchises go:

Resident Evil: The Final Chapter
John Wick: Chapter 2
Alien: Covenant
Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales
The Mummy
