Carer of an autistic 18 year old

Hi,

My name is Claudia and i care for an autistic gentleman, named Michael, he is 18 years old, suffers from moderate autsim. Michael is a loving, sweet guy, who is looking for friendship, possibly love.

His mother believes it is time for him to start getting to know people and going out on dates, i.e. cinema, skating, museums, etc

If i could get any possible interested people or anyone that would like more information about Michael, i would really appreciate it.
Michael desrves the companion as he is so loving.

Hi, welcome here. Maybe you can find other people locally by asking hte local autisms upport group. If there are meetings for young adult/teen autistics, yo could be taking Michael there and he may get to know other young autistics out where he lives.

Hi

Maybe you should try finding people locally for him to meet with. I would also suggest getting him involved in the process & finding out what he wants & is looking for. Another aspie/autie would probably be the most understanding. Honestly something about your descritpion rings a bell :? it may sound crazy but he sounds a bit like an old friend of mine from elementary school (the name & diagnosis). Good Luck :)
