I just wanted to say wow! how did I not know this site was here before??

I stumbled into the site whilst googling for help with discipline and I think I have learned more about my son in the last half hour than I have in the last four years!

My son is 8 and was diagnosed with aspergers at 6 and I have to admit I am struggling in nearly every way - I can't control him at home, I have no idea how to discipline him - well that's probably the wrong term - how to get him to listen to me and do what he needs to do when he needs to do it, I can't manage his anger - especially towards his 5 year old brother, I am at a loss as to what to do about school - all in all I don't know where to turn. I'm in the UK and there seems to be no help, nobody you can talk to who understands AS and can advise, nothing.

I've only read one or two threads so far but they are amazing, so helpful - it is incredibly helpful to be able to read responses from AS parents or others with AS who can actually explain what it felt like as a kid with AS, and dare I think maybe, just maybe I have found somewhere where I can talk to other parents of AS children who might understand how I feel????
