The first time I took the test (some years ago now) I came out as an INFP, but in recent years I score as a INFJ.. so I'm not sure what that means. :?

I always get either ENTP or ENFP.

Any other extroverted autists here?

Today my personality type is ripe Camembert with caper berries and black olives.

Myers Briggs s just another form of astrology only instead of your time of birth it uses your perception of how you are reacting to the world at a given time.

Because it calls itself 'science' the type may lead you to believe your personality and nature are fixed. When reality is that you can change lots about yourself to adapt to circumstances.

It's one of the things about psychology that potentially make the claimed science something of a dark art derived from the perception of someone with a compelling theory. Those who like the theory spend lots of time reinforcing the belief in it and appealing to their peers who, wanting the support, incorporate these affirmators into their circle.

While we will predominantly have certain traits throughout our lives, these are always adapting and can easily be changed if the circumstances require it. Fps, our DNA doesn't even remain the same and that was regarded as our physical (and probably mental) blueprint.

Placing any faith in a fixed diagnosis, especially where something as complex as brain chemistry and personality are concerned, is tantamount to taking a selfie aged 4 and declaring this is you for the rest of your life. Your eyes will (probably) be the same colour (mine were green blue and now are grey so I blow that theory out your window). Your facial geometry/features will be similar and that's about it.

In fact I would go as far to say that astrology is perhaps more accurate because, within your cultural boundaries at least, it seems people born during different seasons (and hence astrological sign) are more likely to display certain characteristics. Summer birthdays are more likely to be involve outdoor activities than winter born people therefore that will effect personality around socialising.
I've even discovered that attraction can often be within a certain 'sign' and, personally, I know more people of particular astrological types than others.
I'm not advocating astrology as science because the bulk of it is rubbish.
I've read my monthly horoscope by a leading astrologer every month for over ten years.
In that time, excluding specific trends, like social activity during festivities and financial at the end of the tax year, this astrologer has been right ONCE. They predicted I will be painting my home and 'amazingly' I was. How did they ever know that? :/
There may be something in the collective astrological groups* to indicate something about personality but it's no more fixed than your socks. And socks say lots about your personality, probably as much as Briggs Myers or Jupiter conjunctions.

*Astrology was studied for thousands of years before any other sciences about human nature. I don't know the historical details of how traits were assigned nor whether these claims have been consistent through time. I only draw on personal observation of who I get along with or seem attracted to me. There has been an interesting consistency to my encounters.
But I am not a socially gregarious person and exhibit many of the traits that now lead me to believe I'm wired differently to 'normals'.
All I know is that part of my efforts to locate myself have included Myers Briggs and astrology amongst others.
Even placing the label "aspergers/autistic" is a limiting factor that has no solid evidence only many similarities.

So my point is..... Don't base anything about yourself on science/pseudo science/religion.

It's a good indicator of how you are today but you can change, will change throughout your life.
You can't change certain things completely (colour blindness for example- though there are correcting apps and glasses available).
But you can change lots about yourself and with a bit of effort can become a very different person to how you feel right now.

That test is a pile of s**t. It says I should be a counsellor when I can't even have a conversation with my sister. LOL

I'm an INTP and I think it really suits me :) It's even in my username - that's how much I like it.
