Aloha!
I just joined. I have wondered if I might have some version of autism since I was in my 20s, but it wasn't until I was 50 that a new therapist asked me if I had ever thought I might have Asperger's. I took some tests and found that I am indeed on the spectrum. Still not sure exactly where, lol. But having this (unofficial) diagnosis has been liberating for me, and has explained a great deal.
I have "come out" to maybe a dozen or so people I trust, and have been accepted by all, but truly understood by none. I would love to have more connection with others of this "tribe."
