Is it true MrMark is the senior mod and has authority over all other mods? I doubt Alex gave him leave to run WP anyway he sees fit. Alex has stated publicly that he has had a problem with MrMark's actions in the past. What is this some kind of power grab?

Ask him yourself....

obviously everyone here has aspergers and has ALOT of trouble communicating but when it all comes down to it all i see is alot of whining. this isnt your board so everyones opinions are pretty much useless all the same. dont like the rules? leave. if you think the rules are being abused by one person you should probably let the one whos opinion really counts know. i like calandale alot and hes probably just frustraited & hes using the only way he knows how that will get attention. what a hairy situation either way, i dont think anything can be done at this point and i wish themachine1 would come back and everyone would stop fighting

them. Their goals are for the site to
be a heavily moderated one. Luckily,

I don't agree. 'Twas a perfectly reasonable conversation,
though off topic. The split that he wished to do SHOULD
have been done - on another forum. The action that he
took simply silenced a flourishing conversation. Of course,
even splitting would have done the same, if he squirreled
the topic away in PPR, so here, I'd strongly suggest NO action
at all.

I think consulting with the site owner would
be a good choice too, but then I forget, MrMark
gets to make up ALL the rules and handle everything
as he pleases on non-technical issues.

I wonder if he really believes this?

I think that the escalation which this provoked
was warranted. By the time QM showed up, IMMEDIATELY
tossing more insults into the fire, the fight was well on.
They well deserve to have their failures brought up,
again and again, when they prove that they haven't
learned from them.

I tried, my dear. I tried. But, one can only be punched in the
face so many times, before you ask why the other is being
an ass. This conversation began politely. And even after the
constant insults from the mods, I've kept a certain civility.



This is pure poppycock. We NEED to be able to
complain about site issues. 'Twould be nice if the
mods didn't descend to mud slinging right off. Or,
if they managed to keep the tone NO WORSE than
that of the complainers, at the least. I was put under
fire many times by the membership (hell, I still get
accused of managing stuff AFTER resigning), and I
don't believe that I ever resorted to this level of
playground insults. It's really pathetic. Respect
CAN be lost, when you see something like this.

QM might be excusable, as some of us mature slowly,
and he's still young - perhaps a troubled teen at heart
(though THAT doesn't make the best choice for mods).
MrMark on the other hand, should have learned to deal
with his anger a bit more. It's a real problem for him.
