Should I become a mod here?

I think the mod selection process needs a complete overhaul. I propose 3 separate stages in which potential candidates compete against each other live on YouTube. My proposed stages:

1. Mud Wrestling
2. Mario Kart 64
3. Underwater Chess - for the two remaining finalists only

^^ Mods should also be stress tested , I'm sure stage 3 would test their waterproofing , can you think of any good stress-tests? Ones that would push someone to their absolute limit to see if a candidate is level-headed or not.


I was going to use the expression 'chimp out' but for some reason I googled it first, and I'm glad I did as it has racial connotations. I'm bored with being accused of racism so I'm glad I didn't use it except to explain why I didn't use it, which is kinda like saying it would have just tripped of my tongue, which is kinda saying I use racist terminology. Why do I always shoot myself in the foot like this

We could go back through their posting history and ridicule and put a negative spin on stuff they posted 5 years ago.

In all seriousness, if people get upset by a little pushback and want to leave the site on a regular basis because someone disagrees with them, then they probably would not be able to mod.

Thanks for clarifying that Isabella; my response was a tongue in cheek joke but seriously yes, moderation and mediation are the keywords.

Being confrontational or trying to make out tgat mods are better than the rest and hang around in towers in the clouds is never a good approach. Being tactful and kind achieves more.

Wanting to mod for supposed power is a really bad reason.
