What do you do in a boring lesson/class?

Wat do you do in a boring lesson/class, or when you already know all about it?

I:

draw as complex as possible mazes (addicting! You must try!)

draw all sorts of not-existing figures, all sorts of weird animals and devils, landscapes etc

read a book

sometimes talk to the person who's sitting next to me

write poems

check if what the teacher's saying is correct and logical

keep myself busy with Rubik's Cube

In that situation I could add:
sleep
pass notes
catch up on other school work

I used to plan what I would do for my operating sytem I am developing or some other major dreams I had (The OS seems to be the closest to reality as I am working on it)

Draw.


A lot.

I used to do the NY Times crossword puzzle during calculus in HS. Not because I was bored, but because I could absorb the subject matter more quickly than it was presented. If anything, having the crossword kept me from getting bored and losing focus.

My teacher knew it too--I made absolutely no attempt to hide it--but she didn't care since I always carried an A in the class. Some of the other kids thought it was kind of odd, though.

Daydream, mostly.

A lot of times I have my laptop though and can either do work for another class or browse the internet... or post here

I look out the window, text message, or fall asleep.

Write a grocery shopping list, other homework, sleep, talk to someone.

Playing solitaire while listening to someone helps me focus. So if the teacher didn't notice, I would play solitaire on my iPod.

Otherwise, I would read a book or fiddle with something. Daydream.

I usually write stuff such as notes for future books I would like to write, to do lists, and general writing.

Well, I finished school this summer but I just did not go in

Read whatever book I have on hand

Write a poem or song. Sometimes I begin writing a story

Draw a picture, generally of an animal such as a cat or dog

Work out some articles I might wan to put on my website when I start it up.

Usually I stare out the window so I'm at least paying some level of attention. Otherwise I'd text other people in the class to see if they had remembered to mute their phones.

in high school? sleep or solitaire

in college? go home

With my sleep deprivation, I'm usually falling asleep during these boring classes, which makes the teacher want to call on me more often.

When I'm actually awake and functioning, I draw cubes in a notebook or let my mind wander.

I either drew, squirmed around in my seat or set myself a challenge to throw my pen as high as possible without the teacher noticing!
