Cost Estimator / member of SCEA.

I'm still pretty new at all this unfortunately; I want to get my Masters in the near future.

Nurse but work in high care aged care facility as i found interacting with patients in hospital too stressful. The elderly are much more patient and understanding and dont expect lots of eye contact. I feel more comfortable working on my own as well.

Investigator. Mostly I analyze data to see if there's anything "unusual," then follow-up to find out the cause (theft, error, etc.). I'm a shift lead. I manage/maintain Access and Excel tools used by my organization. I'm also the go-to guy when my bosses or co-workers need some kind of data management/analysis/statistics tool. Though I prefer the investigation side of my job...Once in a while I get an interesting puzzle to work on.

Not much: The stress just became to much to handle.

I'm now in a process of unwinding things: Moving costumers where possible towards other products, rebuilding my business model to something that is a better match for my (dis)abilities.

It's hard at times: I wonder who to tell? When to tell it? How to explain? etc. Some can handle it, some can't. Some think I'm full of crap (How can I be autistic if I can do X?)... Some are pleased (not in a good way) because they always thought there was something wrong with me, and when they find out they can now blame it all on me....

Until now my business was more like hired-work where clients came to me and asked me to make something. I would be paid by the hour or by project. There is a direct relation between the number of hours I work and how much income I got. This turned out to be unsustainable because I'm to unpredictable.

Where I want to go is that I write my own software and offer it on subscription bases. This would limit and recast my interaction with users: anyone user is only worth a subscription, not the whole paycheck. My income would also not be so depending on how many hours I work in any one week: I can leverage my abilities over time.
