I apologise for the double-post (not sincerely though; who cares?) but I just started playing the new Momodora, Moonlit Farewell. A little over an hour in and I like it, the sprite work and the music in particular are real nice.
Update: after a few more hours, I think this is a bad game. I'll just quote the review I posted elsewhere:

Unfortunately, this feels very much like a generic indie Metroidvania game and less like Reverie which, in a way, felt like the antidote to that kind of game: a concise, tight game with a good sense of challenge. By contrast, this game feels as if it was designed not with a mind towards making every room interesting, but with a mind towards making every room because it's additional content. The bosses so far have been fairly trivial, and they also highlight how thin the mechanics are – there's only so much you can do with a Dark Souls dodge-roll, a melee attack and arrows. There's also a hefty amount of backtracking.
Anyway!

still Tales of Berseria. decided to focus on it until i finish it. It's gotten more fun and interesting the longer I play it. I have something like 30 hours on it and I can tell there's still a long way to go.
I didn't hate Berseria, but it's pretty much the definition of the stagnation of the Tales series, to me.
It's a million times better than Arise though... Arise is possibly the least fun I've ever had finishing a video game
Graces F is the best one. They need to make a PC port.
