Oh I'm happy about Obama losing popularity alright, I'm just having fun here rather than going into a tirade about how I really feel about him.

So if someone said about Bush (or Reagan, if you're one of the conservatives who didn't like Bush) what you're saying about Obama, you wouldn't be offended at all? Try looking at what you're saying from someone else's point of view than your own.

People said that kind of stuff about Bush all the time. I got over it.

Sure, you're over it now, but didn't it hurt even a tiny bit at the time?

Or what if I said "Ronald Reagan was nothing more than a hateful theocrat, and that assassination attempt should have killed him"? (NOTE: I do not actually believe that. I'm just using it as an example.) Wouldn't you think that that was uncalled for?

I'd just say this - take it for granted that both camps have been doing this for a long time (as long as I've been alive) so, every party's president is fair game.

So you think that immaturity should be encouraged?

There is no need for added encouragement. Seemingly everyone just goes along and acts as they please.

We like to pretend we have a civilized society and advanced ourselves as a species... we haven't. We're still the same hate filled selfish little monsters we've always been since toddler age. We're just better at covering it up when it needs to be done.

It's not the immaturity that bothers me... it's the fact that some people are just plain uhhh... I can't even say what I want to say without violating the TOS.

I can't see a valid reason why right-wingers HATE this president so much. What is so horrible about trying to improve the healthcare system so that fewer people are s**t on and plowed under in the name of corporate profits? If you're all so against government spending then why don't you guys ever complain about military spending? Why do you guys only complain when it's spending to try and help more people rather than kill more people?

I have personal experience of being absolutely f****d OVER by the greedy-ass insurance companies. So naturally I see passing healthcare reform as a good thing. I also see the people who are standing in the way as a direct threat to my own well-being. I see you conservative creeps as SELFISH f*****g PIGS. I really do hope you guys get horribly sick one day, lose your job, and have no-one to support you. Then I can spit on you and say TOUGH LUCK, we live in a capitalist $$$$$ driven society where it's your own damn fault of you happen to get sick and can't work.

I think it has to do with the whole flaming-liberal thing.

I think it has to do with the whole taking even more money out of everyone's pockets and then spending it on a dubious plan that they think won't work.

There is a reason why it is called the Department of Defense. It is meant to defend innocent Americans against people who want to harm them.

You want people to not die because of a lack of health insurance. They want people to not die because of a lack of an adequate defense.

You're willing to spend trillions to help people to not die. They are also willing to spend trillions to help people to not die.

I see flaming liberals as whiny, overemotional, and out of touch with reality. This sort of thing is why.

Obama is much more of a moderate than a "flaming liberal." Try actually venturing out of the US for once and spending some time in a real socialist country, like England or Sweden. Then you'll know what real liberals are like. Little hint: the large majority of liberals oppose war and support gay marriage. Obama has proven that he is pro-war and anti-gay marriage. So why, then, do you think he's a "flaming liberal"?

when you deliberately insult large numbers of people, then say they shouldn't be offended over it, that is akin to peeing on somebody else's leg then telling them it's only raining.

Obama is much more of a moderate than a "flaming liberal."

Right-wingers perceive him as such, rightly or wrongly, and the question was why right-wingers might dislike him so much.
