The media wants you to believe that it is only right wing groups causing destruction when it is in fact the far-left groups causing it.

You'd have a better time seeing it if you actually looked.

Antifa and BLM at their heart are progressive movements that want to make changes for the better, despite how individuals among them get a wild hare up the backside. No one can seriously say the same about white nationalist groups.

Like virtually every time Trump opens his mouth and claims something, he's lying.

if you mention "fascism" to an authoritarian type like those in power now, they will act like they just let out a stentorian malodorous fart, and you flinched and turned green, and they'll say "SO WHAT ABOUT IT?!"

Most of them still seem triggered when the ideology they're working to enable is called what it is. :?

It still cracks me up that people wrongly associate Facism with the right. It's clearly a leftwing idea. When you look at the origin of fascism a subject that is now shrouded in mist you come to a remarkable finding. That is that all the founders of original fascism were leftists. All of then were either Marxists, or socialists, or radicals associated in Britain with the Labour Party, in France with the Socialist Party, in Germany and Italy with either the Marxists or the Communists.

In other words, fascism was start to finish a left-wing phenomenon, that emerged out of a debate about the failed prophecies of Marx. Essentially, Marx predicted the revolution of the proletariat. It never happened. So, there was something called the “crisis of Marxism” in the early part of the 20th century. Out of that “crisis of Marxism” came two new variations of Marxism — very different from anything Marx would have predicted. The first was Leninist Bolshevism and the other was Italian Fascism.

Uh..., no. While Nationalist Socialism first started out as an odd, impossible joining of the right and left, it was the right wing nationalists that won out. Hitler then purged the left wing of his party, represented by Ernst Rohm in the Night of the Long Knives. Hitler then broke Germany's organized labor movement, and made an alliance with big business (and those captains of industry ended up tried as war criminals for cooperating wilfully with the Nazis). The first people to end up in concentration camps were in fact the political left.
Yes, Stalin was essentially a fascist. And when he showed his true colors and expressed an interest in an alliance with Hitler, he declared "the enemy is on the left."
Here in this country, it's been the left supporting civil rights and voting rights, while the right perpetrates voter suppression.

I mean, the fact that most people including most experts disagree with your analysis doesn’t show that you are wrong, but it does show that you aren’t clearly right.

Mussolini disavowed egalitarianism after he left the socialist party, Franco was a die-hard anti-communist, while Hitler was both anti-Marxist and anti-capitalist.

I don’t think genetic ideas of ideologies are particularly useful and they certainly aren’t relevant. Many politicians (and even more voters) move between parties throughout their lives, but that doesn’t mean the parties are the same. Marx is an incredibly influential figure, for better or for worse. Would you call Donald Trump a communist because he used to be part of the Democratic Party, and so did Eugene Debs?

Ultimately, fascism seeks to impose hyper-regimented hierarchies upon society, whereas the communist (on paper) seeks the abolition of hierarchy. Indeed, one could argue that our political spectrum puts fascism on the far right by definition.

Trump has used his Twitter account to push for more people to register.

In any other democratic country, this would be a political disgrace.

The number of USA citizens googling How to Emigrate to New Zealand soared to new heights yesterday. No surprise there. The billionaires are already here. They have been arriving since Trump's election.

Yet the non-rich can only emigrate to other countries if they marry someone in those countries, have no disabilities, or are in STEM-intensive careers.

There are entire metro areas in the U.S. where one must make $100,000+ in order to live in those places.
