Recommend some blasphemous books and movies - The foreign Italian Catholic Church which worships the corrupt, Pope of the Vatican, not God, views the entire US Constitution as complete blasphemy and will never, ever read or quote from it. Rarely is any president of the United States ever mentioned (2011) in any USA Catholic Church; this includes George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, Abraham Lincoln, Barack Obama or any other USA president. The Mount Rushmore memorial (South Dakota) is never mentioned in any USA Catholic Church. According to the foreign, fascist Pope, Galileo was a bad astronomer and it was good to burn at the stake the scholar, Tyndale, who translated the Bible into the English language for doing so.

What is WITH you?

Even if ANY of this were true [and how many secular associations regularly mention Mount Rushmore?] - so?

I thought it was a big positive deal in our so great America that we believe the government should keep its nose outside the door or mosque, temple, church, synagogue or home prayer meeting and that the church should stay out of the governing business [though yes, some institutions try to swing a political club].

I would suggest. doing whatever it is you do to calm down [I could suggest techniques that work for me] and trying to write something reasoned, coherent, and readable. Check your blood pressure.

Goodness gracious! Is that what you are trying to do? Write something reasoned, coherent and readable? You have been striking out on all counts. You must try harder.

I finally got The Real Old Testament on DVD. YouTube has a fair number of the segments. For example,

They have improvisational actors playing characters from Genesis. Anyway, I enjoyed it.

The reigning religion in the West today is political correctness; you will rarely see a modern Hollywood movie or a book in your high street bookstore that blasphemes against it.
For politically incorrect books on "traditional" religions, you can try Judaism Discovered by Michael Hoffman or Sword of the Prophet by Srdja Trifkovic.
For other politically incorrect books, you can try Why Race Matters by Michael Levin or The Culture of Critique by Kevin MacDonald.

Here is another blasphemous movie: Orgazmo.

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0124819/

Quote:
Joe Young was a simple young man trying to spread the word of the Book of Mormon when he picked the wrong house to preach at! The owner, a porn director named Maxxx Orbison, tells his henchmen to kill the guy at the door who interrupted their scene, but Joe fights off the guards with great skill, which impresses Maxxx so much that he offers Joe the lead role in the movie he's making at the moment: Orgazmo, which is about a sex superhero who fights crime with his Orgazmorator, and ChodaBoy, his sidekick.

They actually seem to have the whole film on YouTube

Anyway, it is good corny fun.

I just watched the movie Agora

I highly recommend it.

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1186830/

It tells the story of Hypatia

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hypatia

a scholar and intellectual in Alexandria, who was murdered by a Christian mob in the fifth century, The film also deals with the tumult that ensued as Christians took over the Roman empire, and massacred Pagans and Jews.

The movie isn't "blasphemous" per se, being an historical film. I'm just thinking that our Evango-Fascists might not like having early Christians portrayed as less than praiseworthy. On the other hand, our Evango-Fascists might be cheering as Jews were being burned and Hypatia was being stoned.

Here is another movie: Virgin

A girl in a Southern Baptist town is raped while unconscious (after a boy drugs her), and she is convinced that she is still a virgin, and carrying God's child. Pretty nice film.

Hey, that's Elizabeth Moss from Mad Men, where she plays Peggy.

Offending Catholics is what I live for. What title do you recommend?

Not something I can really talk about here, chum. Though I'm quite fond of Jess Franco's Love Letters of a Portuguese Nun, FWIW. Lovely soundtrack. Careful though - the main actress was only 16 when the film was made, which led to very heavy cuts for the eventual UK release (even though 16 is the AOC in Britain).

From the IMDB, that does appear worthy of downloading and watching.

Speaking of your other point, here is a poor fellow in my state who is going to spend 8 years in prison for taking a few snapshots of a legal event.

I've watched a few Spanish and Swedish movies that would probably be illegal in the US--except that the Smithsonian Museum showed some of them for free, and unedited.
