There is nothing wrong with lust. It's a natural feeling and it's quite normal for men to want to go to bed with women and vice versa. It's nature's way of making children and great fun if the participants are willing. If women's breasts were normally exposed they would become less motivating for sex. I assume that in countries where the culture demands that women are totally covered noses and mouths become very sexually attractive.

I agree that lust is not inherently wrong. It is the context of the lust that makes it moral or immoral. For instance a man having lust for his wife is moral and a man having lust for a small child is immoral in most people's books.

I think in the end, while everyone has some amount of sexual thoughts popping into their heads through the day I think its more about what sorts of things that people will really sit there and entertain. In the end though I think the reason you do want to keep your mind on the up and up is just for the simple fact that the things you think, in subtle ways, do project themselves outwardly and if a person lets their mind be a dump - it shows in more ways than they'd realize (then again it is kind of funny what kinds of personalities and behaviors our society seems to condone).

I don't see how it's possible to arrest people for thinking about killing someone unless actual preparations are made for the accomplishment of the act. The thought that the world would be better off if someone is killed probably occurs to many people but it should not be illegal to think about it. How do you prove it unless an open threat is made?

Yes, you are right, someone would have to have made tangible plans to kill someone in order to be arrested, so my example isn't a good one.

However, do you find that it is moral to think about planning to kill someone or a type of person even if you never make plans or act on it? Notice that I did not ask you if it was legal.

Morality refers to standards set by different systems of thinking. In Saudi Arabia it is immoral to let a woman who has been raped go unpunished. I consider punishing a victim highly immoral. If killing a nasty person saves innocent people I consider that moral. But who should make these judgments? Legal systems are highly flawed. I consider many of the actions of many religious systems highly immoral. Public exposure of sexual organs is considered immoral by some people. It is, to me, of no more moral consequence than exposure in public of the sexual organs of a cat or dog or horse. Moralities are highly variable.

No, women should not appear topless in public. Of course, they pretty much already do where I live, with their leave-nothing-to-the-imagination outfits.

If women want to go topless in public, fine. Just don't give me any grief when I take a long, admiring look, ok? Especially if you're walking and they're jiggling. :D

Mystery, I really don't think that many women would and if you saw it at all - it would be some old lady in her 70's. That's the kind of thing I've heard from a lot of places where its already been legal for a long time.

But, what about us who don't have enough imagination? :P

I think that is part of why I think the lust would be reduced, part of the lust is about imagining how would they look like, I guess.

Nah, she'd do it once, have some seriously dirty rednecks licking their lips at her and saying things like "I'll give you some ---...so is your man ----ing you right?" - they'd get over their exhibitionism quick.

Frankly I find the problems of body exposure puzzling. We all know what sexual organs look like and breasts and nipples are no mystery, especially to babies. So what's the problem?

I really don't have a problem with a woman permitting me to look at her titties, if that is what she wants to do.

If I don't want to look, I can just look the other way.

I was just thinking that so many Aspies were voting against it because of our discomfort with eye contact--our gaze often descends to chest level, and, if the breasts are bare, then we'll have these two big nipples that are bigger than eyes staring right back at us. I can understand how intimidating that might be.

Guys should be allowed to wear shirts.

I must be quite liberated. I wear a shirt every day, and, so far, no-one has ever challenged me, or insisted that I remove my shirt.

However, I do go swimming shirtless. Sometimes, I take my shirt off at the beach.

I mean in public swimming pools such as in Chaska Community Center and others in MN. Especially for fat men that have man-boobs. They need to wear a shirt. A dark shirt too. Ei-nee-nee-nee!

When I lived in the South Pacific, and went swimming/snorkeling quite frequently, I would wear a white t-shirt to protect me from sunburn.

I was a trim 140 pounder back then. Now, I'm at a hefty 190 pounds. I know that I look awful in my speedos with my big tummy (no titties, though). But, so what? Just don't look my way while you're eating is the only advice that I can give.
