I have a sneaking suspicion that's propaganda.

Nope. It's not. Top ranking officials that seized power thanks to this are nothing short of Nazis. They suffer from the same delusions.

I think the world should be open and united. I just saw the movie Stalingrad it was like having a few cups of salt thrown into my face.

No, Russia's big problem is that they have no friends. They treat their neighbors like sh*t and they are all running west as fast as possible. The EU is happy to have them. This is going to do Russia no favors on that score. A Pole might piss on a Russian if he was on fire, for a small fee, and now they'll add many Ukrainians to that mindset.

From a western perspective Putin's errors will be useful. He's a big boy and he knows nothing is free.

Kazakhstan does not seem to hate them. Armenia does not seem to hate them. Most of Ukraine does not hate them. Belarus does not hate them... Bulgaria, Serbia and Greece are very pro-Russia. This is American imperialism driving this conflict, and only that.

So says an anti-western fanatic who swallows internet conspiracy like it was candy. Good luck with it. Meanwhile the history of Eastern Europe remains a fact.

The interim President is worse than that. He's a Baptist preacher. And they'll be having elections. Oh no, not those. It's a good thing the Russians are threatening Ukrainian soldiers. Because reasons and stuff.

In a choice between two deals, a vauge offer from the EU, or $15 Billion, and reduced gas prices from Russia, the President, elected in a free and fair election choses the Russian offer.

There are protests.

Protests lead to a deal brokered by the EU and Russia, to form a national unity government, hold early elections, reduce the power of the President, and make the Constitution stronger.

The leaders of the protest agree, as do all other parties, and sign the deal.

A minor faction of protest seizes the government, drives out the President, and appoints it's self as head of everything. They also appoint their friends, who are Social Nationalists. An Ultra Nationalist Party.

Governments in the provences renounce their takeover, the head of the Navy joins the others who refuse to recognize the takeover. The flagship of the navy returning from a training mission says it will dock with the people who protest the takeover of their country. Army, Police, Border Guards, and local governments refuse to take orders from Kiev.

The Russian speaking majority that won the last election, asks Russia to defend their freedom from being taken over by AK-47 carrying men in ski masks, that do not belong to the National army or police force.

The self governing autonomus region of Crima call for an election to chose to be even more self governing.

Kiev threatens invasion by thugs, Russia is requested to secure the area and maintain the peace till elections can be held, both local and national.

Russia and the EU were parties to the deal signed to form a new caretaker government of national unity, and to hold early elections.

Russia is holding up their obligations to the Ukraine people.

The EU has recognized the unelected National Socialist takeover.

Under the deal that was broken, national elections are to be held in ten months. Until then, the Ukraine does not have a legal National Government.

It is now up to each duly elected provencial government to maintain order, where the elected head of local government will resist the new Governers appointed by the National Socialists in Kiev, which is not within the powers vested in the National Government by the Constituion.

Imagine Obama appointing fifty black men from Chicago as Governers of the States, with the power to dismiss the local governments and courts, and fifty more as head of the State Police. That is what is coming out of Kiev.

Except only one of those deals was an absolute choice. The west has no real issue with Russia having interests in Ukraine, a fleet in Crimea and a special relationship with many of its citizens (read the Chicken Kiev Speech, the discussions during the Orange Revolution, the reset dialogue or even today). The Russia diplomatic offer was zero sum, Ukraine could not have a split security/economic relationship, which is ridiculous because not even Russia's economy is as pro-Moscow as the one Putin demanded for Kiev. The Ukrainians rejected it, more than once and Putin refused to accept that he could have essentially what he wanted but would need to compromise. Even today NATO membership is not that popular in Ukraine, the majority there don't really care to be forced to chose between east and west. As a result Putin is doing his level best to provoke a war.

He wants the Ukrainians to open fire on his soldiers that are there 'to protect the Russian speaking population'.

I sometimes wonder if Raptor is really some sort of undercover Chinese or North Korean agent.

He's so right wing he seems such a try-hard.

I think Raptor more or less admitted to trolling once (essentially, doing stuff to get a rise out of "liberals").

And we all know about trolls, eh?
