I don't know. I can tell you this though, women tend to internalize our social failure and our anger within ourselves more often where as (some) men just end up exploding over those things. Elliot Rodgers is a good example. Now I experienced a lot of alienation in University too just like Elliot (which lead me to drop out) - but how I dealt with this was blaming myself and thinking I must not be trying hard enough. Better go on a diet, get better clothes, clear my skin, become more social etc.
But men are not inherently wicked. Just how they deal with things can sometimes be different than us women. Sometimes. I should say for the record the most violent beating I EVER received was from two girls - they nearly killed me. So it goes both ways.
