Those two must get something out of it, or they wouldn't be engaging.

This is better than the channel: "Psychology TV"

Just because someone is not as severely afflicted as yourself does not mean they are not on the spectrum. That’s why it’s a spectrum.

I got to know his life’s story a bit thanks to American Idol or whichever talent show he hosted. His story is basically one of rags to riches via hard work, which makes him all that much more likeable. 8)

Ps I’m ready for you guys to get rid of trump so I can have a more interesting obsession. Maybe studying. Or more time spent riding motorcycles and going kiteboarding. Or maybe I’ll just be a nympho. I’m ready to be done with trump - the ball is in you guys’ court. :)

Your wish is our command. We'll get right on that.

If I understand what you've said above, we can anticipate that at the end of this election cycle or if not, at the end of 2024 (whenever Trump leaves office), your work will be done here and you'll be moving on to other things. Got it. Being autistic, I prefer certainty over uncertainty, so this helps.

Even without looking anything up about him, I can see in the way he carries himself
when playing Chris Rocks' hard-working dad,
makes it less negative than the script alluded to,
but realistically funny and gentle in a way cannot be faked (the way he speaks/looks at other characters) ..

i.e. he probably knows what it's like to be that person.
Like Jackie Chan or Audrey Hepburn types. Discipline and kindness and integrity and whatever else it takes

Most on WP are not as severely affected as me. But it is quite clear they have autism. Either quite clear or there is nothing in their demeanor to doubt it.

Remember I have spent my life surrounded by autistics in real life. I am deeply familiar with them.

You’ve spent your life around autistics that are closer to your end of the spectrum than mine. That’s why they, too, attended special schools & programs for autistics.

You’re also aware that there is no cookie cutter profile for someone on the spectrum, so suggesting others aren’t on the spectrum because you don’t recognize them as being so isn’t necessarily accurate. What it is, though, is a bit rude.

If trump was not potus and there wasn't a pandemic, then he would have come up with some other gimmick to push buttons and strike nerves. Many of us thought or at least hoped he had been banned from WP.

Oh, I’m sure I’ll still be ripping trump and his offspring as their criminal trials and RICO Act offences and investigations make headlines, but once the few dozen daily crazy crap trump does headlines cease I’m looking forward to my interests changing. :)

Remember: One does not Choose an autistic obsession; it chooses you. :P

Seriously though, I’m ready for a change. All the better if he’s gone sooner. 8)

I think few people would agree that I'm not autistic.
The thought never entered my mind that anyone would think otherwise.

Contrary to you, Fishman, I have been professionally diagnosed as being autistic.
This happened when I was around 24.

If you are suggesting I'm not autistic, you are mistaken, obviously.

Could you explain what you meant by that? 8O

I thought I and someone else already explained that. The whole production routine that does not really compute with the autistic mindset. I like you and prefer to let in slide, but sometimes it still gets annoying after like the 5th chime-in in a row of it. If you were 13 it might sit better. What other autistic goes about posting that way? But it's no big deal really.

Fish, you blow my mind. You mention that in your opinion you've never known anyone other than Ezra who has as much "oppositional disorder" to you as he has.

Never in my life have I known of someone living in one country to be consumed, fixated, obsessed by and have an unhealthy compulsion about another country like you are. You are one of a kind in that regard. I've never seen anything like it.

I agree.
The only person who is as negative as Fishman, to a certain/particular demographic, is that rooly intellijent guy who rags on neurotypicals all the time.
But even he doesn't do it 24/7. 8O

You were diagnosed with Aspergers in 1983?

I haven't seen posts by the other person you are alluding to.
Could you point that out or simply name the person who thinks I'm not autistic.

You know already that I am not going to change my style, right?
Do what I do and skip over the posts you are not interested in reading.

While I have no problem with fishman, I usually skip reading his posts when he goes on about his anti-Amerikan sentiment.
I don't understand why some people have difficulty doing that.
I am very consistent here.

For example, Cberg hates my guts.
I have, in the past, deflected his "verbal" abuse through humour, but he contributed to my ban (2nd strike) for a month, for this mature form of defence.
I couldn't believe it. 8O
Go figure. <shrug>

So what did I do, after screaming in the closet for a month?
I decided to simply skip over his posts.
Simples.

Mate,
Seriously?
You are trying to trip me up?

I specifically said I was diagnosed as being "autistic".
More specifically "mildly autistic".

As you and I both know, the term "Aspergers" wasn't used back then.

You say you like me,
So, why this attack? 8O
