But white people do this to black people every day all over the world. Lets keep that in mind.

You're wrong to try to downplay it by saying that, it would of been a much bigger story if the roles were reversed. I doesn't happen every day, terrible things like this happen far more frequently than we're aware of but usually race has nothing to do with it. I think the perpetrators of this are pretty much irredeemable, people like that are so broken they can't be fixed and are just a danger to others. It's hard for me to even watch since the victim reminds me of my brother and it brings back memories. They say we autistics lack empathy which couldn't be further from the truth, sociopaths like this are the ones that lack empathy.

Yes, black people have been brutalized by whites time after time. But that must not be allowed to diminish what was done by those racist dickholes. What makes this stand out is that the victim was mentally disabled, and was in no way responsible for their grievances.

Really? Not that it's even relevant if true, but find me an episode where some whites kidnapped and tortured a black person for being black. Find me a few. Should be real easy when it's happening every day.



Sure it's terrible what Anders Breivik did, etc. But Muslims do this all the time all over the World. Let's keep that in mind.

So if I looked I could find a youtube video similar to this one where whites captured and tortured a mentally disabled black person because Obama got elected? That would be the equivalent.

Even in this rather heinous case I'm still not in favor of hate crime laws for thier abuse potential. For a prosecutor it's all about putting someone in jail (a win for them) guilty or not, and if it takes misuse of the law to that end so be it. Yes, I am rather cynical.
In this case, those f*****s should be able to get long sentences in maximum security for abduction and torture alone, regardless of who they did it to.

I have mixed feelings about hate crime laws. There still needs to be an accounting for the reason why you did something. Say if instead this was because he'd been in the process of raping one of the two females when the other three found him. Handing down the exact same sentence in both scenarios is not right.

Autonomy is considered a human right, being demanded by BLM. The verdict is based on hate, but will be used to disparage a people group.

Here a 19-year old white man with 2 other men attacked and raped a black, disabled football player with a clothes hanger, while taunting him with racial slurs, and the prosecutor makes clear there was no hate crime and the man after pleading out was sentenced to 2 years probation, no jail time:

So, there is another irony, in that prateorian types use hazings, yet are supposed to punish hazing.

I think that black autonomy and black racism are two separate issues.

I think in that other case, the main factor is that the attackers were football players, not that they were white. Football players could throw a basket of kittens off the Empire State Building and get away scot free.
