I will say this, and then no more (because I haven't read the article), but it reminds me vaguely of the scientist that grabbed Einstein's brain in an attempt to study it after he died.
He kept it in a jar, and ended up cutting it up to see inside. Somehow, I don't recall reading that he kept it in a nice, cold place....
