I enjoy watching the Olympics...I wonder if anyone else is going to be watching and what they are looking forward too?

I enjoy the Swimming, track and field, basketball, soccer, etc....

Personally, I've been REALLY impressed by the opening ceremony. Soo worth watching on TV. For once, I'm actually quite proud of Britain (before I wasn't NOT proud, but I wasn't exactly PROUD).

They are airing it in about an hour ( tape delayed) here in the eastern United States..Can't wait to see what Danny Boyle puts together.

I'm definitely watching the last day. My crush from high school is competing in the modern pentathlon. I'm so proud of her!

Sport is given far too much attention for what it is.

Many of these Atheletes do not come from money and genuinely build their lives for this moment. Also, the ceremonies are in many ways a peaceful moment when countries can celebrate together. Call me folksy but I like the Olympics.

I could care less. Yes the atheletes have worked hard there whole life for this. Mainly to win and get big time endorsments and money. What a noble cause. People playing games so people can brag about they are better then other people because our team or country won.

The atheletes that win metals will be set for life. I think more do it for money the pride. I am already totally sick and tired of all the coverage and it just started. People beating people for bragging rights and feeling bigger, better then others. Like I said, what a noble cause.

I'm more impressed with doctors and scientists working on solving the worlds issues then if a guy can run fast or do gymnastics good.

What I always wonder about is this - what happens to the North Korean teams that fail to win any medals?
Are they executed upon arrival, or locked up, or simply told they should pretend they won to fool the rest?

I want to watch fencing and taekwondo.

And gymnastics is probably really cool, so I'll watch that.
