We need to remember that laws are written for the people, not for lawyers. It should never be a choice between death or dismissal.

A lot of conservative legal theorists are like Pharisees: They're so caught up in the letter of the law that they forget the spirit of the law.

What a selfish truck driver, wanting to keep from freezing to death! Why, we all should be so lucky to have companies with such a lack of human compassion, and jurists like Gorsuch equally lacking in humanity to defend them! :P
(To my fellow Aspies - I'm being sarcastic!)

The story doesn't quite add up.

Apparently, the heater didn't work. So, the driver was freezing all day, possibly all week? (He came from Kanas, and was in Illinois when this happened).

All-of-a-sudden, the cold gets to the driver? Why now?

Or maybe, just maybe, the heater just cut out then. There's no mystery about it.
Why are you taking the side of a faceless, soulless company against a flesh and blood human being who didn't want to freeze to death?
