Five million pounds of an emergency fund is given to Grenfell families.

78 people are on course o be rehomed, with 79 people dead or presumed dead. 180 families have been directly
affected by the blaze.

The government pledged on Friday (16 June) to give at least £5,500 to every household whose home had been destroyed by the fire,
with one cash payment of £500 and the rest delivered through bank accounts or similar in a single payment.
The fund will also cover costs for temporary accommodations, legal representations for residents and funeral expenses.
An extra 1.5m will be used to pay for mental health support for the emergency services.
