I don't think any of this would have happened were Trump's f**kbuddy Netanyahu not PM. I don't admire Hamas' tactics, sorry, but invading an important mosque during Friday prayers, even having excellent intelligence that Hitler himself is in there, is a dick move and could only have happened under Netanyahu, so he has Jewish victims' blood on his hands as much as Hamas leadership.

It like Netanyahu wanted this war.

I read the rest of your message, but this line was golden. It gave me a lol.

Cheap, very small target to hit = why not?

USA still drops paratroopers and so does every other airforce.

True, my amusement wasn't aimed at denigrating the contribution of Palestinian paragliders as part of an... airforce.

Just imagining a dude paragliding in the place of fighter jets, I found that funny somehow.

Actually Netanyahu had a policy of actually favoring Hamas over the secular and more sane PLO. Pretty much eliminated the PLO so he have only the uglier of the two enemies remaining ...to make himself look better as a defender against a worse more fanatical enemy rather than as an aggressor against the more reasonable enemy.

And guess what... now he has the enemy he choose to have.

Tell me if I sound paranoid...
You have Israeli intelligence completely missing this in its planning stage, making me wonder if that had been purposeful. Then you have Netanyahu's administration challenged by much of the Israeli populace and military for his bid for strongman status by placing the Israeli judiciary under legislative control. The thought had crossed my mind that Netanyahu had allowed Hamas to do this in order to solidify popular and military support behind his government.
Who know, maybe I'm just nucking futs.

Insofar as this is how fascism usually takes hold, I guess the suspicion of fascism will usually get one labeled as paranoid.

Even if this is true (which it isn't) why are Palestinians choosing to support HAMAS?

Israeli citizens are no more nazis than American citizens. Americans acted like nazis toward African Americans and Native americans for 400 years. That doesn't justify African Americans or native americans attacking civilians.

HAMAS is a terrorist organisation. Palestinian civilians choose to support them. Israel is entitled to retaliate.

I suppose they think Hamas' extreme positions and actions will lessen the misery of the people of the Gaza Strip, especially as the corrupt Palestinian Authority had failed them in the past. Needless to say, when this war is concluded and Hamas is destroyed or driven underground, the Israeli reprisals against Gaza will only get worse.

If both the West Bank and Gaza are part of Palestine, then what's stopping Fatah from wresting control of the Strip from Hamas?

I still have full faith in the two-state solution, and there are many things the Israeli leadership can do differently.

However, Palestine needs to be under one leadership (hopefully Fatah or a similarly minded party), and this means that the West Bank leadership needs to go into Gaza and restore order, rebuild infrastructure, and get the economy going.

Other viable solutions are (a) Gaza becoming part of Egypt, or (b) Gaza becoming an independent nation of its own, thus requiring a three-state solution.

Not interested in relitigating a controversy marginally related the point I am trying to make that there are important differences between the anti Netanyahu government protests and the protests over the murder of George Floyd.

I know all that but I think for them it is more fresh, like during the time americans were trying to force natives out of their homes and off their lands...they did fight back to the death. But in current day America that is in the past though it still effects native people today...in Israel /Palestine they are right now trying to kick palestinians out of their homes to make way for settlers. This isnt something that happened in their past it is happening right now, and they are trying to fight back to protect their homes.

I don't think it is right for Hamas to target civilians but they aren't just doing it out of nowhere, and also though the U.S targeted civilans when we dropped atomic bombs on japan in ww2 and many people have no moral concerns about that.

^ I have moral concerns about what happened in Japan during WWII. I always have. Just because it happened in the past doesn't mean it's okay now (or was back then). Some Americans are brainwashed into thinking that the US is always right. It's very tiresome and, more importantly, untrue.

They aren't just trying to get their homes back. It's much more complicated than that.

They've been engaging in extreme brutality/acts of terrorism which isn't surprising since Hamas is a terrorist group. That's never okay in my opinion no matter what.

American Indians often DID massacre White settlers on the frontier.

And did so for the same reason that that Palestinians are doing this. Because Israeli civilians in the occupied territory are outside settlers on their land. If you had been in the shoes of either Native Americans in the Nineteenth Century, or Palestinians today, watching invaders not just occupy but actually populate your property you might do the same thing, and try to drive the settlers out.

Well yeah the white settlers were actively working to destroy them, so of course they did extreme things back in a attempt to fight them off. Not saying it was 'right' but I can certainly understand a bit as to why they did it.

Oh boy another crisis. Why can't I just kill myself? Why am I such a coward? I need to feel the kind of peace and relief one feels when they have finally decided to end their life because the human race is full of parasites and I'm so sick of it my bran and body is shutting down.
