nice story, i count 4 cutesy type pictures in it.
fox hunting is now a banned sport in the UK, it has to be licensed and there are a lot of conditions, the hunter, keen to promote their lifestyle have made a coup with this charm offensive and no less than 4 pictures.
i dont mean to disrespect their choice of lifestyle but a deer found at a gate that was born and an hour old?
i mean c'mon, its likely that the hounds chased a doe and she became stressed and prior to getting torn apart gave birth and some enterprising houndsman decided to get good value from it with 4 photos in the local press?
i am synical not critical, i dont dislike hunting but i dont like it either, but i will respect the hunters for their choice and their lifestyle i just dont buy 4 curesy photos.

cannines have strong maternal instince and flexible behaviour. Many times dogs have adopted kittens and other species generally prey.

Who said the hounds are blood-thirsty? Dogs are trained to go after a particular scent (like fox), not to be killers. Dogs have hunting instincts, but also herding instincts. I think this interesting, but not world-shattering news.

Does frequently leave their young in places that they consider secluded while they go off and eat. The fawn stays there until the doe comes back. People mistake them as abandoned all the time, but they are not. This fawn was most likely not an orphan at all, and I think that makes the story sad.
