Like playing the "so what if" game and realizing that the worst usually isn't as bad as I thought?
So your negative thoughts aren't a consequence then?
It sounds like you'd be happier away from the projects obviously, so I hope that happens for you.
If you walk away from society as a whole though, then you give up on yourself and your potential for a while.
I don't like the situation, but I can't break out of it.
It's creepy to see how one change as a person when isolated over time. I get way to invested in my neighbours. I have to think about other people, and since my neighbours is who I see the most, that's who I think about. I'm so glad no one can see what's going on in my head
I recall that you started a thread about finding meaning in life a while back. How do you find meaning when you're isolated? What prevents you from breaking that isolation a bit?
As I write this, I realize that I have not spoken to anyone since early last night. I'm fine now, but I can't really imagine extending that for weeks. Even now, I have the urge to talk to someone. So how do you do it?
The BBC has a feature on isolation. I found it fascinating, as it discusses both the people who thrive and the people who fall apart. The human mind is amazing.

It's official: rice dumplings can make you cry. [It's a Clannad joke.]

Funny that if you read the bible in Hebrew that death is Hell and Hell is death. It is Sheol and it is the realm of the dead, what most people refer to as hell is in fact the lake of fire which is something entirely different if you read the bible. It is my belief that everyone goes to Hell or Sheol, I can conclude that it is not a pleasant place but there is less to fear if you actually read the bible. Also its not outside the realm of possibility that God was in Sheol, Hell or the grave at one point.
The lake fire is the second death and it is eternal,
Hell is merely the place the dead go,
^...and that's one of the main reasons why I don't read the Bible.

You don't read it because of what society says about these places?
And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death.
You cannot throw Hell into itself,
Also for just an example of how some people can translate this, here is a video that is not meant to do anything but explain some peoples beliefs. I am not saying he is right, in fact I disagree with a good bit but even by his definition, the entirety of hell is not a place of suffering.
Also check this out, what location would the altar of souls be? It kind looks like Christians are calling from the grave which the bible uses along side the word Hell and Hades. It doesn't sound like they are in a lot of pain to me.
When he opened the fifth seal, I saw under the altar the souls of those who had been slain because of the word of God and the testimony they had maintained. They called out in a loud voice, “How long, Sovereign Lord, holy and true, until you judge the inhabitants of the earth and avenge our blood?” Then each of them was given a white robe, and they were told to wait a little longer, until the full number of their fellow servants, their brothers and sisters, were killed just as they had been.
What better way to bring chaos to the world then to cause confusion with our destination. Lets make it sound as bad as possible, less people will want to hop on that train.
Anyway I'll shut up, I don't mean to rant about religion but check out the point I am making.
^^No, I don't read it because I don't agree with half the stuff that's in there. I actually find the concept of hell ridiculous. Fun fact: the word hell likely comes from the Norse goddess Hel, ruler of the underworld.

Fair enough, I agree and we can move on to topics that won't get me killed but consider this last point; the concept of hell is ridiculous, that is why its not true. Not even the lake of fire has such ungodly implications, a loving God would not allow endless suffering. The lake of fire is the second death that kills the soul, its not going to keep burning once everything in it is gone.

Painting and drawing/ being creative is what has given my life meaning in the past, I don't know about the future. What prevents me? The deep shame. Some people manage to breake out of it somehow, I don't think that gives anyone the right to judge those who don't.
I have always liked being alone, but there is a limit of course. I'm going to try and be more conscious about what advice I give to people in simular situation, so that I'm not a hypocrite. Just going outside for a walk in the neighbourhood can help a little. Saying hallo to someone, looking at the surroundings.
Being here on wp helps
I didn't read the whole feature, as I found it too depressing. I really appreciate that you are trying to help, I really do! But I just don't want to talk anymore about it, I'm sorry...
