This... so cute, I am giggling. 60+ ladies do not giggle... look at those itty bitty teeny feather tufts... (what are they really called?)

@Raleigh: and how.

@Kura: "Down"... yes, true that - but the wee teensy bittie ones that look like micro mini cat ears would have to be called "up"...

(falls over on back waving feet in air, still giggling, god how cute)

This site. I had a bad moment today remembering my hellish school years, and it helped so much to think of the brilliant, caring, amazing people who hang around here. I don’t feel alone anymore.

I tooken my older kitty to the vet yesterday (sunny, warmish day) to get her teeth cleaned and have a sebaceous cyst removed (on face, growing, bothered her).

So glad I did that before the snow hit today

She took forever to recover from the anesthesia - her back legs were unreliable all day and I was worried, since she is an older cat. I set aside my other plans for the day so I could stay in and keep an eye on her - glad I did.

This morning she's bouncing around like her old self, and seems relieved to be rid of that thing on her face. The pic below is not my girl, but in terms of "bearing" (poise, beauty, facial expression) it resembles her a LOT. My girl, though, has deep copper eyes.

Image

Edit in: and she is incredibly affectionate... I think she remembers who held her in a towel to keep her warm and still for a few hours yesterday :-) ...

The fact that I'm sick at home in my apartment instead of out there with all those people. The old-fashioned types.

That's a very beautiful cat. Have you noticed that some aspies have catlike features?

I have indeed! Elfin. Especially when young.

Meeting a friend I haven’t met in years and catching up
Hours of talk over hot chocolate/chai latte at a small coffee shop.

Deep and meaningful conversation with her

Got to talk to the person I'm currently thinking of as my best friend for a little while today.

I've been volunteering at a thrift shop for a few weeks now, testing electronics and maybe doing some repairs. They haven't had anyone working on that room regularly for about a year now, so when I started it was a very large pile of bins of jumbled up electronics. As of today I've cleared half of the pile.
