I've had another kind of lice

Fortunately, I was able to get rid of it very quickly using Kwell.

Do you do your own laundry?

I'm sorry to hear that  but glad it was resolved quickly.

Yes, I do all my own wash.

Do you bend or dog-ear the pages of books?

No. From my time working in my university library preservation department, I've seen firsthand how bad book pages handle that, especially when they are older with brittle paper.

If you could show one historical figure from history a piece of modern life; who would you choose and what would you show them?

I would invite Emily Brontë to my home, so she could explore the internet, enjoy electricity and plumbing, read my novels and play with my dog.

Same question.

I would invite Davinci to see all that has changed since his time both in a good and bad way.

Do you sometimes try to stay away from social scenarios if possible?

Absolutely.

What do you think is the coolest thing about living in the 21st century?

Same question.

The coolest thing about the 21st century is that we aren't in the 22nd century.
That would really scare me.

How are you today, kind sir?

Okay, at the moment, just managing with some difficulties, but I'm not going to complain.

Do you enjoy listening to music to help you during your tasks, etc?

It depends on the task. Right now I have a lot of important paperwork to complete, so no. It would distract me.
Later when I do some cleaning I will have lots of music on cue.

I hope your day gets less difficult.

Do you have an aversion to Tuesdays, or is it just me?

It’s the first “hump day.” Thursday is the other “hump day.”

One-hump, or two-hump camels?

two humps since they would be able to cross the desert better.

What sort of tasks do you enjoy while being at a library?

Walking around breathing in the soft, intoxicating aroma of books. Going to the sections I like, and squealing when I can fill my arms / basket with books I can only dream of owning. Finding the most private spot to sit, with the most beautiful view. Squealing again at said books before sniffing them covertly, and touching the paper. Then debating which to read.

You?

I enjoy walking through the massive amount of books on the shelves not knowing which ones to check out as, I can't seem to make up my mind.

Do you try to do things that may seem unorthodox to others but, benefit you greatly in your daily life?

I always use Lonely Planet travel books as my “default” when my mind is too fuzzy for literary works.

Are you into the art of book preservation?
