Anyone like spiders? :) I think rainsong said she liked a spider too.

Sorry about the quality I don't have an SLR and the glare is pretty bad. I believe it is a garden spider (Araneus diadematus). This one is probably a male because of the small abdomen.

This is a spider is my kitchen and it has been there for many months. I really like the little thing. This is its favourite window to spin a web, it is always there. But a week ago it decided to move, it spun its web in a different places each day. First by the banana stand, then up by the boiler, then in a really odd place. But in the end it went back to its favourite window and hasn't changed so far.

My favourite spider is the portia jumping spider (Portia labiata)

I don't like spiders and loathe them because of those long numerous legs 8O The bigger a spider is the more disgusting I find it.

Before I dropped out of college my plan was to start a
biotechnology company and devopled practical spider silk for
the clothing industry. :D

Spider silk feels like silk but its elastic, very strong and can be machine washed and dried.

Personally I am creeped out by spiders but I never kill them i relocate them if they get near me.

My father for years had a large hallowed out log in his shop that
had black widows living in it.

I am neutral about Spiders.

They are kinda annoying, so I will admit to killing them if they are in my room :(.

I don't mind spiders, although I am often taken aback by the bigger ones if they start scuttling across the living room floor. My mum and sisters are freaked out by them though...

I enjoy them as long as they dont get too close to the bed - its a pity i choose such a dark flooring options as i must be missing out on a lot of spidery action at this time of year.

I think mayflies and crane flies are annoying. Moths can be annoying when you accidentally put the light had on in your room before you want to go to bed. But if you have a portable light that is multidirectional you can bring it near then, when the main light is off and escort them out the room. They navigate buy the moon that is why they get confused with lights, because it is not meant to disappear from sight since the moon is further away than the light.

Just remembered something funny - last week i went round to my mums, where some of my sisters friends from Uganda are staying for a few days. They had loads of special bananas, brought over on the plane, which i was given a few to take home.

When i got home, i noticed a sort of cocoon-web inside the bunch had broken open - and for a moment i was anxious a deadly poisonous (possibly pregnant) african spider had escaped, and was lying in wait somewhere in the flat

This isnt that far-fetched, because my next-door neighbours once found a scorpion in some locally purchased bananas! :o

Sort of the reason why you shouldn't bring food on planes like that. People will bring anything. Stuff like bush meat and giant African land snails in their luggage without any refrigeration.

Spiders rule! I especially love garden spiders. There's a rather large one on the wall behind me now. I'll re-post a few recent garden spider pics:
