I don't really understand exactly what the OP is trying to say. Are the rich people that the OP is referring to those that sell things online and the people in the tech industry? Stopping using the Internet is not a realistic solution to the problem as it's very useful in many ways. Maybe the governments should impose very heavy taxes on them and on some others that are hoarding money. Or something like that.

What is so hard to understand that if you make teaching online free, teachers dry up? Their salaries decrease, books are removed from schools and replaced with e readers, a few companies make hand over fist rather than a swath of companies.

December 1, 2014 was a year ago? Man, my conception of time is pretty skewed...

I don't remember posting at that time, but if I did so what? I'm aloud to say what I want, when I want and I'm aloud to form an opinion.

Going over somebody's history and classifying them as a troll because they said something different a while ago isn't enough of a reason to call somebody a "troll". Your definition of s**t disturber is quite skewed though.

You're obviously just trying to get a rise out of people by posting blatantly contrarian opinions which you know that everyone will disagree with and pick apart. It's too easy a target and the fact that your posts are directly contradicted by previous posts you've made (and I didn't even have to search for them, that post was on the first page of results) pretty much hammers the final nail in the troll coffin.

I mean, sure, I guess there's a possibility you could have spent the last month and sixteen days since expressing an affinity for YouTube prank videos suddenly developing a vehement anti-technology manifesto, but...eh, I dunno. I guess I'm just skeptical.

How do you know I didn't feel like this when I lost all the weight I gained back in the psych ward? I've felt like this for years but I've been trapped on the Internet because I'm lonely. And that's how I feel. And it's not a f*****g contrararian opinion that Apple treats its foxcon employees like human waste.

Of course the OP is entitled to their opinion but this is not the proper place for it. The definition of a troll is someone who places inflammatory comments of an off-topic nature on an online community.

It's not f*****g contrarian that your media doesn't give a s**t about lying to you because you lie to yourself. Keep telling yourself you should pay 50$ a month for the Internet so you can get all your news. Or you could actually go out, and buy the f*****g news and get mad when you find something contrarian in there. Or you can keep hoping to "change people's minds" like a fart in a windstorm online.

Is that not what this is? When one goes onto an autism internet discussion board condemning the internet when even the most recent their lengthy user history here indicates they clearly believe otherwise? I know there are plenty of people who genuinely believe these things, but in this case, I can't help but feel this is just posted for an argumentative lark.

Either way, I'd still suggest locking this thread.

Regardless of the OP's intentions, I've been very harsh throughout this thread and I apologize for that. I don't ever like getting off on the wrong foot. Sorry.

OP, could you clarify about the relationship between people posting on forums and 9/11?

It happens to the best of us. I hope the OP is ok.

Why are you on the Internet? Honestly, what the hell is the point? Because you have access to free content? Everything should be free right? Concerts, rent, food, phones, school, porn, research material, studies, balance sheets and the list goes on forever. Get over yourself. You're contributing to the biggest issue facing our economy.

The reason nobody did anything about 9/11 was because they had forums to go and post on. Same reason nobody does anything about anything else. They hope they'll change somebody's mind because they feel powerless. FFS people; if you can't find something offline then demand it. Why should your research material be free? Why should news be free? Why should newspapers cost more than two dollars per paper? Gee I dunno, maybe because you perpetuate the problem by searching for it online, therefor decreasing supply and increasing demand. So many lost jobs because of lumber and the jobs that used to take in lumber money.

Disgusting. "Can I find it on iTunes or in the App Store?" Are you kidding me? You wont be able to buy a CD anymore if we keep going like this. And I was admitted to a psych ward because all the rhetoric in my defense is ONLINE. People argue about everything online. You have as much influence as a fart in a windstorm.

Go do something with yourself so the rest of us can. Jesus Christ.

And by YOUR logic, what are YOU accomplishing?

Why are YOU on the Internet? Take your own advice before you try to shove it up someone else's nose.

Who the heck are you to try to tell others what they should and shouldnt do? Not to mention making braindead assumptions about WHAT each person does on the Net, or WHY they might be on here at any given time. There are probably a number of people that sign onto the Net pretty much JUST to come to this site, because it's a SUPPORT site, where they might get insight and helpful info that can enable them to deal with their issues.

Or maybe they come onto the Net because it's the only real way to keep in touch with friends that no longer live close by (and no, dont say "use a phone", as alot of us here HATE phones).

Or maybe they come on here sometimes because it's actually related to a JOB that they have, ever think of that one? Even *I* have done that one, and recently.

I could go on... and on... and on... and on. You dont know what each person on here is like. You dont know what they're doing, why they're doing it, or even who they are. Yet you come on here and try to tell them how they should live their lives?

If you've got some sort of problem yourself that's making you angry, that's fine. If maybe you're having a bad day and having a bit of a meltdown, that's fine too. This is the sort of place you can get help from. Really, all you need to do is ask. So many people here would be more than happy to help. That's what kind of place this is.

But dont come on here trying to tell people how they should act and what they should do, preaching a sermon that you yourself are clearly not even following. Nobody needs that sort of thing here. All it's going to do is get people angry, and get the word "troll" flung at you over and over.

YouTube videos and forums which host conspiracy theories. It makes them look mentally ill when a new video surfaces or a new theory surfaces online. Because it's a public group, and even wilder theories like reptiles protrude. And then people's hate grows for them. It becomes unpatriotic to say anything against official stories because more official stories surface every second hour and they spread like wildfire. But nobody is spending a dime on it, so they don't feel invested in that news. They can explore both sides for free and by doing so, they're not working for their news. They pay companies like Rogers or AT&T to pay Globe and Mail or USA Today.
