That sounds great! I know what you mean -- once in blue moon you just "click" with someone because you find that the two of you are indeed on the same wavelength.

Today I saw a car with the wheel on the right side (when in the car) instead of the left side like the cars here in Canada and the US. And there was a guy driving it, too. I just hope he doesn't forget what side of the road we normally drive on in this country. (it's the right)

wonder why i am obsessed. preoccupied with the military. have been since around the time i read Honor and Duty buy Gus Lee.

maybe b/c some civilians treat veterans like heros

but then i remember:

hey the military employs civilians

civilians working for the military

so whatever

whatever romanticism the mliitary has, civilians working for the military also has to have

it reminds me of how my cousin got a BS in Aerospace Engineering from UC Davis. and for 10 years he was unemployed or underemployed. not working at a job that involves a degree. he has a visible physical deformity. it could be employment discrimination. yes, ADA makes it illegal. but it is hard to verify in a civil lawsuit. all the employer has to do is throw away his application. the employer can't verbally or in writing make notes about his physical appearance.

but there is no law that says the employer has to hire the most vocationally competent candidate. even in a quantitative, objective job like aerospace engineer


so whatever

yeah i still haven't gotten over flunking out structural engineering .............. 12 years ago

and i feel ashamed, guilty, and stupid

an Aerospace Engineering degree is much harder than structural, and he still has lived with his parents for ten years. in a crowded apartment.

it's weird

a couple years ago i told a former friend (he's about 80 years old) that the cousin got a BS in aerospace engineering

the friend said "that's great"

so i said that he's been unemployed or underemployed since then

so what, pray tell, is the definition of "great"?

too judgmental

and he had to default on student loans too

much better to not have gone to college altogether

rebadged jags, or fancy european chocolates?

Feel guilty and ashamed

Plenty of minors. Children under 18

Dropped dead
Got murdered
Got raped
Got diseases
Homeless
Nothing to eat

School bullying

And I feel pity for myself

But I am 34. More or less asymptomatic. Always had room and board



So what I ain't got no precious lil "friends"? And no job. No job skills. Meaningless life

Feeling pretty guilty I'm not heading to my friend's wedding reception, but I guess having a chest infection gives me a valid pass not to go.
