Backtalking is useful. It's not "required"--but it is useful.

I believe it should be used in a good humorous spirit.

This thread is full of good, humorous backtalk.

And when you mean good humorous backtalk you don't mean let's say how a teenager is shouting and screaming about losing his online video game subscription, so you'd laugh humorously at the embarrassment of it all? You meant instead talking about how great someone's day went?

Okay, not meaning this to sound crazy, but in terms of me being autistic and having mental conditions no one is trying to keep as ignorant as possible to keep me as blissful as possible so that I'm not always sad and that I don't discover that all the social skills and world views that neurotypicals have aren't applicable to me, and for each discovery I have as an autistic everyone has to jump on some sort of bandwagon doing what I do to make me feel better? Even though it may not be honest?

We just kid around with each other, and make light of some rather serious problems. We laugh at ourselves, rather than take ourselves too seriously.

We need a vacation from having to seriously think about our serious problems.

We have fun with verbal puns. And we talk about what we cooked today, or what we didn't cook today, or what we burned today.

It's to the point where I believe the ability to laugh at one's self is really the only way one can really get a nice girl or guy.

Women find guys who can laugh at themselves quite attractive. A guy who can laugh at himself doesn't let his problems prevent him from accomplishing things in life.

Every day I go without finding a girlfriend, I feel like I've failed once again and should've just killed myself a long time ago. :(
