I don't think a news article has ever made me cry.

when i was a teenager ages ago, i heard on the nightly news, john chancellor [anybody remember him on NBC?] read a report about an elderly lady in japan who was found dead in her apartment, and they found a note she left to the only one who was her friend- her tv set. there is nothing sadder than that.

I never cried except when I read something about a beautiful cat (they had a pic of him who belonged to someone) that had purposely been burned alive in a bbq grill by some sick kids.

It was awful. I guess it's more easy for me to get upset about animals than it is with human unless their kids.

Exactly how I felt and their punishment wasn't much. I think one was bailed out by his rich mommy.

I question people with that kind of mind. People who get kicks off torturing animals/children for the laughs cuz that's exactly what they guys were doing. It is beyond my comprehension and I think deserves a harsher penalty though my penalty would probably be considered cruel and unusual.

Since WP is my own personal online dictionary, that my family can't get at, I'll muster up the courage, to post this, and I don't want anybody to try to take away my freedom of speech, like it happened, 4 years ago, in December.

i have never cried about any thing i have read. i did however get tears in my eyes when i read this story.
it is not a news article, but it was the only thing that i can remember that affected me to the point of extreme sadness.

please overlook all the link errors and warnings and other errata, and scroll down a small way and read about josie the possum.

A couple of days ago, on Dateline 20/20, I watched a story about a gorgeous English TV presenter named Katie Piper who got badly disfigured after her boyfriend allegedly hired someone to throw sulfuric acid in her face. The story detailed both the physical and psychological aspects of her painful recovery, and how she has tried to rebuild her life in the aftermath.

Katie's story brought me very close to tears. I can't remember the last time my heart ached so badly for someone as it did for her.
