Found a wetland area while exploring a new beach which was full of blackswans and shags, absolutely stunning :) and I saw a little penguin on the way back.

Conversation at orchestra regarding whether I was actually going to play the bassoon cues. I play clarinet, but the cues were also in the bass clarinet part and sounded better on it.
Me: You tell (the conductor) that it's on your part.
Bass clarinet player: Nah, I'll play and you just don't play.
Me: If we do that she'll glare at me.
Bass clarinet player: Of course she will, she glares at everyone. She glares at me all the time. (He's exaggerating a bit there.)
Me: She never glares at me.
Bass clarinet player: That's because you're brilliant.

At the crosswalk a driver stopped and motioned for me to cross instead of not even slowing down until the last second and then inching forward like everyone else around here.
