SUNLIGHT!! !! !!

I've taken down all of the night/winter curtains (I use a second set of curtains hung right over the first set, and over my doors - some at night, some 24/7 thru the winter, for extra insulation) and I think they may stay down, depending.

Might even get my two remaining rosebushes pruned today. Here's hoping.

Autism paid off today!

I took my car to the local dealership last week for an oil change, and took my special little boy with me. A couple of the workers played with Edward, then I took him out front so he could watch the action in the sales lot and do his happy little stimming dance for the world to see. When I went back in to pay, the oil change price they charged me was mysteriously half of the posted amount. I went back to that dealer today for some additional work, with Edward in tow. While I was there, one of the workers told me a story about how a couple driving by had seen him dancing that day and pulled in to shop, because they decided the happy dancing boy meant this was a nice, welcoming place. So today we got a bunch of free cookies and some free repair work. I want to give the dealership a really good review - should I include something like ‘special needs friendly?’

Watched the new Wreck-It Ralph 2 trailer at my desk at work... had to stifle a laugh so hard at the end I almost peed myself. Good times.

Got my roses pruned today - and chopped up all the pruned-off bits and bagged everything and stowed it in my toolshed out of the rain, which is expected tomorrow.

Sad but necessary - they had just begun sprouting - thank goodness they're "knockout" roses so it's OK to prune even while they are active. Blasted weather; they should still have been dormant. Nope. So tomorrow I feed them (fish fertilizer, yum, and buttermilk).
