Terribly windy and has been since about midnight last night. Gusts to 75MPH, locally higher than when the derecho came through (and knocked out everyone's power as if it just laid over and died). Temps in the 40s.

Walked my house perimeter twice today to check for damage, will have to check again tomorrow morning. Apprehensive.

I've seen Darmok and Kraftie here today - how did you guys come through the godawful mess? The coverage I've been seeing on the weather channel is horrifying - roof off a hangar at JFK, massive coastal flooding in Boston & points north - you guys OK?

Thank you, glad you are OK, too, and I'm sorry about your sister's house damage.

Pain in tail to get repairs lined up if not doing them oneself (and no way could I do that myself!) because so many people are in line and it needs fair weather.

I hope she can get at least a temp fix in place ASAP and the next weather system skips you all or is gentle enough to do no further harm... tx again.

33F just before 1:00 am, but a winter storm warning is up for snow to begin this coming afternoon, with up to 12 inches by Thursday.
