32F 2 inches with light to moderate snow.
Most of the snow is supposed to go Darmok's way. This should be a New England blizzard with us a getting a glancing blow.

I haven't been outside with a ruler, but it looks like about 8-10 inches of snow so far, and it's still coming down at 3:30 p.m.

Right alongside the upper end of the Shenandoah Valley, here... and we've already got about 4" of snow. Started about 4 hours ago. Whiteout conditions - zero visibility - sporadic. Local weather says 29F.

This is expected to continue for the next 36 hours or so. Extending, or will extend, all the way up the East Coast.

I tried to get out for newspapers before things got too heavy, but the whiteout conditions hit as soon as I reached the main roads. Turned tail and went home. Didn't want to end up as a cautionary tale:

Clear and 34F at 2:30 a.m., with *another* snowstorm coming later today — six to eight inches. We've had more than two feet just in March, maybe three feet.

Just came in from shoveling out my downspouts and walkway lights and azaleas and heat exchanger and clearing the plowed-over snow out of my driveway entrance... got at least another hour of shoveling ahead of me just to clear the necessary minimum, but lunch and coffee took priority :-)

And the spots I've cleared are staying cleared... we got about 12" here so far.

Happy second day of spring, everyone :-P

The Dakotas don't really have a spring season. It just stays miserable cold up till about late May, and then all of the sudden you've got summer. Or what they call summer here. I've heard the lack of a well defined spring season is also the case in Michigan, Wisconsin, and Minnesota.
