10F at 8 PM with wind chill to -4F, winds NW at 12 mph. At this rate when it hits 40F next week I'm going outside in shorts and a tank top.

23F, wind chill to 15F, South wind at 6 mph. Freezing rain expected between noon and 4 PM and subfreezing temps after that, oh joy. Edit in: oh absolute delight, they just amended the forecast - the freezing rain is now expected to begin in less than an hour.

24 (about minus 4.5 Celsius) Degrees in NYC. Supposed to go up to about 32 (0 Celsius), with snow late tonight and tomorrow---but only about half an inch (1 centimetre) or so. It's supposed to go up above freezing tomorrow

The reason why Colorado's winter has been so mild is because of the Arctic Air affecting the East. It has been blocking the cold air from coming to the West.

We, and many other places from the Great Plains east, have had among the coldest 2-week stretches in recorded weather history.

... and a lot of people are having trouble with their heating budgets, too.

(I wish the climate researchers had selected the term "anthropogenic climate change" when they began to study it. "Global warming" was doomed from the start to be deliberately misunderstood.)
