I've been away... scared off by those malicious popups (even after I put all kinds of defenses in place). Now waiting for the malware stuff to be shut down, or at least acknowledged. That seems to be happening now, yay.

Actually I came back yesterday and mostly all people wanted to do was argue with me bizarrely about - nothing, as far as I could tell. This happened in a couple threads with different people. I have been wondering, honestly, what the heck. Create a thread about purely superficial nonsense here and you're solid gold, but try to talk about things like an intelligent adult - in places where that *seemed* to be the point (hello? We're ASPIES? That's one of the things we DO? At least I thought it was?) and it's like Kipling's Bandar-Log in thirty seconds flat? What the...?

Sorry, sweetie. That isn't aimed at you or anyone specifically. It's a rant about where the site culture seems to have gone (and quickly). But with that kind of welcome, especially having it *replicated*, it's time for me to hit the road.
