Lesson: don't use Skype to call UK mobiles.

It is over three times the cost of just phoning using a regular landline and you can get free calls on O2 if you're on the same network anyway.

So essentially I just wasted a tenner for nothing. Ouch.

(The forum member concerned shouldn't feel guilty - it is entirely my fault and I am responsible. You live and learn.)

No, I didn't waste it but I spent it when I didn't need to. I could have got the calls much cheaper had I shopped around - some VOIP services do them for 3p per minute. Like I said, lesson learnt.

Do you believe me now when I said I don't use mobile phones much?

Anyway, I'm quite philosophical about it - you win some, you lose some. I had a lovely conversation but I found out it was more expensive than it could have been. Next time I won't make the same mistake.

My expensive lesson learnt was blowing £20,000 on a years drugs and alcohol spree. I could do with that money now.

How did you get yourself in that state? Is it alright to ask questions?

Oh, and smudge, if you want to have a chat you know where my shell-like is.
