I don't do a lot of social things by choice, but I think Esmeralda Weatherwax would be a great person to sit by the fire and read with.

Oh my. That is one of my favorite social things* :-) from the best times in my life. Rare to find folks who can actually do it. And I reciprocate completely.

*especially the part where coffee is made, and tea, depending on preferences, and everyone helps themselves, says thank you, picks up cookies and a saucer, and goes happily back to the fire and the books, smiling :-)

MissChess has caused me to regret leaving the Pacific Northwest 25 years ago; wish I were there now.

EzraS can be quite thought-provoking and I've examined a few of my own assumptions after reading his exchanges with others.
