I read today that meerkats are supposed to to be the most murderous mammal, i.e. killing their their own kind. I'm sure they're still a far cry from humans, who are also mammals, but having a meerkat tell you "Hakuna matata" is possibly the worst advice ever (although it's perfectly acceptable for them to even be speaking English, singing, hanging out with a warthog, adopting lion cubs etc etc).

i finally got the "toulouse lautrec" joke from an early spongebob episode.

I've learned that if all people are not allowed to vote that in itself tends to undermine democracy as a whole
