Except vultures, they're the only birds that do.

I learned that while the actual completion of my taxes was very easy due to my living situation and how little I made, I can't file them electronically unless I have my tax stuff from last year, which I don't, so I have to wrestle with our very troublesome printer to print and mail the tax stuff for this year.

For his performance in The Usual Suspects, Kevin Spacey glued his fingers together to give his hands the feeling of paralysis.

There is a superstition called the Oscar Love Curse, where if a woman wins an academy award for best actress, or even best supporting actress, her husband or boyfriend will break up or divorce her soon after. Doesn't seem to affect men, however. Go figure. It's more like it's still socially unacceptable for a woman to be as successful or more successful with their career as their male lover.

That the lovely little park straight up the hill from my house used to be a big and very dangerous reservoir (there's only a small lake now.) It only became a park after locals uncovered a secret safety report of the local water company showing that there was a very real danger of the dam breaching and washing away everything in the valley with 150 million gallons of water! The street I live on would have been among the first to be hit as we're directly down-slope, with only the local golf course between here and there.

Michelle Philips was banned from The Mamas and The Papas for a couple of months for being too evil. I didn't know that.

The set of Sesame Street was made to look like a poor inner-city block complete with trash and decay because the target audience were inner-city children so the producers wanted the target audience to relate to the characters.

So that's what it's called, a "bustle" ... fascinating:
