My mom always thought it was one of my typical "aspie-traits".

I would always wash my hands if I held a key or used some coins, I really hated the smell of it, sort of like my body felt allergic to it, or made me think it did.

I hate the smell of any metal particularly when it's got that slightly rusty odour aswell, it makes me feel really ill. I don't mind the smell of oranges but not when they are cooking, in fact any citrus cooking smell I dislike.

Oranges - love the smell and flavor as well.

Iron and metallic smells - depends on the intensity, but usually does not bother me.

Oranges - not per se, but I complain about the scent being 'too dominant', I like some scents when they're subtle.

Iron - What does iron smell like? :?

I love the smell of citrus in general. It's one of those I can't get enough of.
Iron, however? Totally with you on the coins/keys thing. The smell is terrible, like my hands just went into a tanning booth for an hour. Which coincidentally also smells like death.

I like the way actual oranges smell but not artificial orange scent, like in household cleaners or air fresheners. I also only like natural orange flavoring; artificial is gross. I don't like the smell of metal, but it has to be fairly strong to really bother me.

Not so much. I do like the coppery smell after a new rain. And the smell of gasoline for some odd reason.

i never noticed a smell from coins but I hate strong smells like oranges. My parents have been getting a lot for free from a few people who have tress & they've been squeezing a lot & I hate going in the kitchen while they are doing that or for a while after because the smell really gets to me. I don't eat oranges either.

I like the smell of oranges, I've always loved citrus :) I don't really like the smell of metal, especially if it's rusty, but it's not one of the worst sensory things for me. The worse one HAS to be when people husk corn. I HATE THAT SOUND! It almost has a...texture to it, and I HAVE to leave the area. It's similar to the sound of snowpants squeak/grinding together, ugh!
And I LOVE the scent of gasoline!

The smell of orange pith has always made me slightly headachey, but iron doesn't bother me, apart from molten iron and the fumes it gives off.

I like the smell of oranges quite a lot.
I hate the smell of iron on my hands. Other than that, it doesn't bother me. On certain occasions I even like it as it reminds me of my granddad's garage and of him.
I like the smell of gasoline too.

Citrus scents: only fine as mild odors.
Iron: smells noted come from human secretions probably secreted to prevent contact poisoning. Disliked for similarity to scent produced by blood-skin contact.

I like the smell of both oranges and iron and the taste. It's not an aspie trait.

When I was a small child I used to put coins and keys in my mouth because I enjoyed the taste.
I also used to lick metal fences on the playground as a child. This was probably not very healthy but kids don't think about that.

Gasoline, grass and coffee are other smells that I like.

this is a lot like me. i used to like sorting through tins of nuts & bolts & screws as a child, and the lingering smell on my hands was something i really enjoyed. i didn't put metal in my mouth because i have amalgam fillings so it would hurt.
