Also, I am well aware that all that exists in Canada too. Rednecks and guns? Have you been to Alberta? Racism? I'm reading about your First Nations now and it is most enlightening.
You guys are no socialist utopia either. The homeless exist in Canada, as they do in France and Scandinavia and the UK and all the other "Socialist" countries that are really some elements of socialism grafted onto countries that are capitalist at their core. And how do you pay for it all? High taxes and the fact that the USA pays almost everything to defend this continent.

^ actually, Scandinavian countries aren't socialist, socialist means commies. Scandinavian countries are constitutional monarchies, parliamentary democracies.
