Good Lord, the pain before the extraction was worse than right now. I had a periodontal abscess and a deep cavity. I found out that you can take 4 (200 mg each) of Ibuprophen for pain. I had to go on a antibiotic and a prescribed bottle of 800 mg Ibuprophen - they won't give narcotics. Guys, floss and brush and visit the dentist every 6 months if you can. I didn't take care of my teeth like I should have and now I'm paying for it. I have NO back teeth. I still have a nice smile but who the hell feels like smiling if they can't chew anything. The up side is weight loss - cause I got rather big. I need to lose about 75 pounds.

Sorry to hear of the pain. I got a prescription for codeine for all my dental work.
My biggest issue was cracked teeth from too much stress. 8O
I couldn't chew on one side until I had a bunch of implants put in. :D
