"I spent 20 years in utter isolation and confusion." -- A guy who didn't know he had Asperger's until he was 20, from the documentary Asperger's Are Us on Netflix. I, myself, spent 30+ years in utter isolation and confusion. That's what happens when you are undiagnosed and just know you are different and feel deficient and don't know why.

That's deep, I'm glad I was diagnosed at 13. Even then, I still wish I was diagnosed earlier. I hope your diagnosis helped you feel more peaceful about your inner-self.

A little update. They have painted the ceilings and the walls, so it's very white now. I don't think it looks weird though, maybe because it's such a small apartment (30 square meters). Tomorrow they are laying down the vinyl floor in the bathroom. I'm going shopping with Anne for a couple of things.

My first day back in school {now that most of the snow in Portland has melted} went well today. In my ASL class, I learned that a 20 HZ cochlear implant may have more disadvantages than benefits for deaf people.
